Finland

Day 1

• Departure from Bangalore International Airport and arrival at Finland as per the flight schedule.
• Arrival in Helsinki and bus journey to Joensuu, Eastern Finland

 You will arrive in Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and Mapstop holidays will take you safely to Joensuu. Your digital diary instructions are given to you, so you can start to plan your own story about the phenomenon Finland. You will have orientation to the week on the way and you will enjoy the dinner on the way. In Joensuu will meet your local coordinator and you will sleep well at the hotel in the city center. Overnight stay at Joensuu.

Day 2

• Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, Proceed for SCHOOL DIVE – LEARNING ABOUT THE FINNISH EDUCATION AND PEOPLE. 

Visiting and tasks at secondary school, Lesson are held in English, so all students can easily participate and form groups with Finnish youngsters. The whole day will be spent at school in the heart of the City of Joensuu. You will learn about Finnish ways of teaching, studying, enjoying the breaks during the school day and of course, you will make new friends. School days in Finland varies based on the periods of subjects, and this day we will start at 9:00am and school day will be until 15:00pm. There is a typical school meal provided in the middle of the day and we have a tour of this modern architecture building. After the short break at your Hotel, you will be taken to swimming hall and typical Finnish Sauna experience to have some more fun. After this you will be ready for dinner on the island of the river, Overnight dinner and stay at Joensu. 

Day 3

•  Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, Proceed for Innovation workshop.

Finns are well known for innovation skills, so let us do developing things together? The Second day will offer you an experience to solve the real challenge of the Finnish school and you will learn methods to create solutions with Finnish students. You will learn how you use your brain more than money in any kind of development. As a young person and customer of the schools, you can find yourself a valuable developer. After the workshop and lunch, you will have a “tour” in Joensuu city, some outdoor activities, and a meeting at the youth center. You will learn how the municipalities can support the wellbeing of the young citizens. The pizza dinner will be enjoyed in a local restaurant. Overnight stay at Joensuu. 

Day 4

• POWER OF NATURE – ADVENTURE DAY

After breakfast we will take a bus to visit Koli National Park. It is a Finnish breathtaking national viewpoint, and we will have small hiking trip 3.5kms. You can pick berries, mushrooms, breathe the purest air in the world and learn how to cook outdoors by campfire. We will prepare our lunch in Finnish camping style. You will learn about the meaning of nature for your wellbeing, concentration and learning environment. We will arrive back to Joensuu around 4pm, so you will have time to seeking souvenirs and then having a typical Finnish meal as dinner. After the outdoor day, it is time to take rest and prepare for the journey of next day. Overnight stay at Joensuu. 

Day 5

• Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, Proceed for CULTURAL FUN!

The morning will start by visiting the National Animal Museum, pass the Parliament House and visiting and doing exercise at Oodi Library. The lunch will be enjoyed here. Then we start to do editing your travel video/doing summary of phenomenal learning in guidance. The whole week will culminate to the best amusement park Linnamäki. Evenings are dark already in September and days start to shorten. This is why there is IIK! – Week at Linnanmäki. You can visit all the amusement park rides as much as you want. Farewell dinner will be there too, so please take the wildest rides first!

Day 6

• After breakfast check out the hotel (Standard check out time of the hotel is at 12:00), transfer to Airport. Departure from Helsinki Airport board the return flight to Bangalore.
•  Scheduled departure time and arrival  at Bangalore.
